was this doen souly with a paint brush? there's something about those fine green and brown eyes that make them look as though they've been laid down with a colouring pencil or something... anyways, however you created that effect, it's a great one since the texture's somethig unusual and the combination of the two colours used lends the image a certain gritty-ness, enchansing the feel of the grainy paper this is on.
the green makes for good huightlight since it really bringsout the sections of the fish creature it's one, for example, the ribs and the muscles of its arms... in fact, while we're on this part of the drawing there's something i've got to say. it's probably just me, but i find the structure of this part of the image really confusing;at first glance, the arms could almopst pass off as some bizzar, mucely fin. i do get how the fish becomes more anthro-mized the further down the picture you go (i.e the contrast of that huge head and then the lean, carved out stomachj), however, i fel asthough this part of it could be all the more clearly identified if you exagerated the shouldes juswt a little more.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
