I just imagine Darth Vader wheezing Supercalifragilistic in a pink tutu. IMHO it's the worst thing that could happen to Star Wars. Please don't misinterpret I like Disney movies in general, but after the Muppet disaster I am not pleased to read that in the near future Star Wars will be produced by Disney.
Sorry if I can't share all the "Yeah Disney is doing Star Wars"-Positivity-thing. I loved the Avengers ('Pirates' and John Carter was great, too) - but as a real Jim-Henson-fan I was SOOOO pissed by Disney when they made Rowlf talk again. So much disappointed about that disrespect to Jim Henson's death. It made me really furious and since that I am really careful about Disney's business sense. You may not understand it but there must be also people that have way different point of views on that subject. (And there is a reason why J.R.R. Tolkien has banned Disney (and all their production daughters) by testament from all movie productions.)
First of all, George Lucas will still be involved in the process of the films; just because Disney acquired Lucasfilm doesn't mean that it will change it. Disney actually owns several properties that you were never believe to be associated with the brand. (Such as Miramax. When Disney was running them they produced such movies as Clerks and Pulp Fiction)
They are basically just doing with them as they did Marvel; they knew they were a successful franchise, and they don't want to change anything, besides reap in the profit. Besides... 'Disney' made Avengers, so I wouldn't be so forlorn.
