You know, I'm a great fan of Tom Waits , and I'm making for fun ( beetwen my works ) some illustrations about his songs...
This one it's about the wonderful song "I Never Talk to Strangers" singed with Bette Midler..
Probably this material will be in a personal exposition in the next months in a Cafè of my City...

there's a real sense of charater with this and this is even extened to background scharaters such as the some what skeptical bar man. there's something about the drop of his head, the widly spread legs and guesturing hands that work to give the impression the guy's trying to put on a smooth show in an effort to spakr off the woman's interest. he just has this real air of charisma to him, what with the casual way he's slumped on the stool and the half closed eyes only add to this swave impression... however, he ultimatly comes off as a compleate sleeze bag.

despite the fact we can't see her face, there's somethign about her rigid posture and the sidways tilt of her head that hints that she's totally nonplused by his efforts. in terms of cc, the bottles should be titlting towards the vanishing point as they move further away from it; yours seem to go the other way, something that throws the sense of depth within the picture.

Nice composition, though the man is missing a cigarette to complete his sleaziness. :) Tom Waits-themed work is a great idea.
